Episys/fixing cqi problem

Relative to origin/develop

This file has a mixture of line endings: some lines end in CR/LF,
others end in only LF.  Editors tend not to like this and will
switch the whole file to one kind of line ending or the other,
introducing gratuitous whitespace changes.

This code was previously commented out.
But the `if` expression was wrong.

Revert unnecessary changes relative to origin/develop

Reviewed with Andrew

They cause more grief than they're worth

Define `LOG_WITH_COLORS` to re-enable them
